Charalambos K. Skarlakidis was born in the city of Drama in Greece in 1971. He is a graduate of the School of Architecture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and works in Athens as an architect and teacher of computerized design programs. He is also engaged in historical research.

The present book assembles all the significant historical testimonies to the miracle of the Holy Fire from the 9th to the 16th century, supplemented with commentary and illustrated with plans, drawings and photographs of manuscripts from Europe’s most important libraries.
